OCT welcomes all interested volunteers! Some areas of need are listed below, and training is provided. Volunteers earn free tickets to productions during the regular season. When you're ready, click here to complete a volunteer profile and get started with OCT.

Volunteer Areas & Responsibilities:
Administration: General office support, data entry and lookup, research, filing, and more.
Commitment: Approximately 2 hours per week.
Box
Office:
Ticket sales to the
public during the run of each production. Box Office volunteers are also asked to attend one annual meeting. Training is provided!
Commitment: 1 day per week, 2-3 hours, September -June (with some off weeks)
Opening Night Support: Cleaning the lobby and theatre; preparing reception spaces and supplies; serving beverages during receptions; and more. Current OLCC license is helpful but not required. Help us get ready for the big opening night for each production!
Commitment: Day of opening, approximately 2-5 hours.
Personal Shopper: Keep the theater humming as we prepare to open each production! Shop for the theatre on the day before and/or day of opening. This will include food and supplies for opening night, concessions, and the office. You will need a vehicle and be capable of lifting 10-15 lbs.
Commitment: Approximately 4-6 hours, once per month.
Poster Route: Mount posters along an assigned route in the area; update OCT on any alterations to the route or additions to be made. Can be done on personal schedule, but must be available during some regular business hours to access posting boards along the route.
Commitment: Approximately 3-4 hours, every 1-2 months.
Production: Creation of sets, props, and costumes; light and sound board
operation; and more. Production volunteers need to have some availability between 9am-6pm on weekdays.
Commitment: approximately 2-4 hours/week during production weeks, depending on interests and production needs
Ushering: Work under the direction of House Managers, take tickets, seat patrons, assist House Managers during intermission and after the show is over. We ask that ushers attend one annual meeting for an overview of the season and usher responsibilities. For those who like to plan ahead, our ushers can sign up for their preferred volunteer evenings a month in advance! Ushers get to see the show the night they volunteer.
Commitment: once per production -- about one show per month, September - June, approximately 4 hours.
