DUNCAN MACMILLAN (Playwright) is a writer for theatre, television, and film. His theatre work includes Lungs; People, Places and Things; Rosmersholm (adapt. Henrik Ibsen); 1984 (adapt. George Orwell, co-written and co-directed with Robert Icke); City of Glass (adapt. Paul Auster); and 2071 (co-written with Chris Rapley). Other plays include The Forbidden Zone; Wunschloses Unglück (adapt. Peter Handke); Reise Durch die Nacht (adapt. Friederike Mayröcker). His work has been performed throughout the world, including National Theatre, The Old Vic, Royal Court Theatre, Almeida Theatre, Barbican, St. Ann’s Warehouse, Melbourne Theatre Company, Berliner Ensemble, Hamburg Schauspielhaus, Schauspielhaus Köln, Burgtheater Wien, Vesturport, Kansallisteatteri, Nationaltheatret Oslo, and in the repertory of the Schaubühne Berlin, as well as the Edinburgh Festival, the Manchester International Festival, Salzburg Festival, Festival d’Avignon, Theatertreffen, in the West End, and on Broadway. His screen work has appeared on the BBC, HBO, Netflix and at the Berlin and London Film Festivals. Reise Durch die Nacht was awarded the Nestroy Preis for Best German Language Production. Both 1984 and People, Places and Things were nominated for Best New Play at the Olivier Awards, and Rosmersholm was nominated for Best Revival.
JONNY DONAHOE (Playwright) is an actor, comedian, and screenwriter. His originating role in Every Brilliant Thing has played more than six hundred times over four continents, including five months off-Broadway at The Barrow Street Theatre. The show was filmed by World of Wonder and screened as a special on HBO. He was nominated for a Drama Desk Award, Lucille Lortel Award, and an Off-Broadway Alliance Award for his performance. He is the frontman of musical-comedy-satirists, Jonny & The Baptists, as well regularly performing stand-up in his own right. His play Thirty Christmases (starring himself and Rachel Parris), premiered at the Old Fire Station in Oxford, before transferring to the New Diorama Theatre in London. He has also created a twelve-part series on parenthood with real-life partner Josie Long called ‘Josie & Jonny Are Having a Baby (With You!)’ for American podcast network Midroll. More recently has written the acclaimed new play Forgiveness which toured the UK and internationally in 2022.
BRIAN HAIMBACH (Director) is the proud head of the Theatre program at Lane Community College where has created international transfer programs for Oregon students and directed professional world premieres of opera and plays. He will direct Heathers the Musical at Lane this spring. His OCT performance credits include Dan in Next to Normal, and Bruce in Fun Home. Other performance credits include Harvey Milk in the oratorio I Am Harvey Milk with the Portland Gay Men’s Chorus and his solo show “How to be a Sissy,” which he has toured around the West and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe thanks to a generous grant from the Oregon Arts Commission. In a former life he was a singer and dancer on cruise ships. His OCT directing credits include The Big Meal, Becky's New Car, and Hand to God. Other directing and producing credits include world premier productions and/or readings of plays by Lee Blessing, Arlene Hutton, Caridad Svich, and Catherine Trieschmann. Professionally he has spent time with Touchstone Theatre, Chicago Dramatists, and the O’Neill Playwrights Conference and has been featured in “American Theatre Magazine.”
ERIC BRAMAN (Narrator) is a performer, writer, and theatre maker whose recent performance credits include: Tiny Beautiful Things (OCT), To You/To Myself (Oregon Fringe Festival), Ministers of Grace (VLT), and Bunfight (OCT). They are also a producer for the NW10 Festival and recent directorial credits include: Man And Moon (OCT), The Essentials (Lane Community College), and Intertwined (University of Oregon). They are honored to work on this heartful show and dedicate this performance to each of us who know and love someone facing or who lost their life to suicide.
CHRIS LEWIS (Sound Designer) is a live performance sound technician and recording/mixing engineer, joining the staff at Oregon Contemporary Theatre in August 2022. Chris also works with George Relles Sound and IATSE 675 as a stagehand and a/v technician, and he can be found moving pianos with Carter Piano services. Chris started his professional audio career in Eugene at The Shedd Institute, where he was acting Technical Director, managing light, projection and sound design. Sound design credits include Annie and White Christmas (The Shedd) and live sound mixing for Hedwig And The Angry Inch (OCT). When not doing shows or moving pianos, Chris enjoys playing guitar and soccer (not at the same time), or listening to music or a good story.
AMY WEINKAUF (Props Designer) is part of a family of artists who love good story telling. She has worked on and off the stage in support of a variety of productions within the local arts community. Her roles at OCT include property designer, NW10 acting and directing alum, and NW10 producer. 143.
EMILY K BOLIVAR (Lighting Designer) is a lighting designer in Eugene, OR. Currently, you can find her working at the Wildish Theater in Springfield, OR, with IATSE 675, and Lane Community College's Music, Dance, and Theatre Arts Department in addition to her freelance work. Recent credits include: Man And Moon (OCT, 2023), Acis and Galatea (Eugene Opera, 2023) and The Light Keepers (Oregon State University, 2023). Outside of the performing arts, Emily enjoys working on her garden, and singing. She would love to thank her friends, mentors, and family for all of their support!
LAURA TUFFLI (Costume Designer; Production Stage Manager) recently graduated from the University of Oregon in 2022, majoring in Theatre Arts and minoring in Music. They have spent their time in theatre focusing on costumes, wigs and makeup. Costuming credits include: The 39 Steps, After the Revolution, 12 Angry Jurors (Pocket Playhouse); Birds Flying Through, James and The Giant Peach (LCC), Man and Moon, What The Constitution Means To Me (OCT) assistant costume design for Hay Fever (University Theatre); makeup/wig design for A Midsummer Night's Dream (The Tall Tale Players), makeup/wig stylist and assistant stage manager for Hedwig And The Angry Inch and The Wickhams: Christmas at Pemberley (Oregon Contemporary Theatre). Laura is very excited to be a part of this production!
